About Virginia

Award-winning Director and Series Producer | Wildlife, Environmental AND Specialist Factual Storytelling

I am a creative leader with a track record of crafting acclaimed wildlife, environmental, and specialist factual documentaries for Disney+, BBC, Tencent, PBS, Discovery+, Nat Geo and Smithsonian. My career has taken me to isolated corners of Africa, Asia and the Americas, often working in challenging conditions, where I’ve filmed environmental issues, captured complex animal behaviour and revealed powerful human stories.

I’ve led ambitious productions from concept to delivery, shaping formats and directing demanding shoots. Known for my creative vision, resilience under pressure and skill in building solid teams, I deliver globally relevant stories that blend cinematic storytelling with narrative depth, resulting in awards and nominations.

I was born in Lagos, Nigeria and spent my early childhood immersed in the culture and landscape of West Africa. This formative connection to the continent has shaped both who I am and the stories I tell, and remains deeply rooted in my work.

Today, I live in the UK, but also maintain a second base on a remote big game reserve near Kruger National Park in South Africa. With a specialised 4x4 filming vehicle and a core kit stationed on site, I’m uniquely positioned to lead and support productions throughout the region. Living on a reserve and working in Africa has helped me cultivate a trusted network of conservationists, scientists, reserve managers and fixers. Whether collaborating with conservation partners, filming rare wild animals, or managing sensitive access, I approach every project with purpose.
